A standard chain will cut a 38mm wide trench. An experienced operator can wriggle the GeoRipper® slightly whilst trenching to increase the trench width. The final width of the trench depends on the type of ground (sand, clay, gravel, …)

A 1″ (25mm) wide chain can be purchased as optional equipment. It is available in three different lengths: 16″ (400mm), 20″ (500mm) and 27″ (700mm). Supplied in box of two.

A 2″ (50mm) wide chain is also available but only in 16″ and 20″. It only fits certain models: Makita® EK7650H & EK8100, Husqvarna® K970 and Stihl® TS700. No additional equipment is needed to fit the optional 2″ digging chain. Supplied singly.

The GR16 is compatible with the following models: Makita® EK6101, EK7650H & EK8100 and the Husqvarna® K770.

The GR20 is compatible with the following models: Makita® EK6101, EK7650H & EK8100 and the Husqvarna® K770 & K970 and Stihl® TS700.

The GR27 is only suitable fitted on the more powerful models: Makita® EK8100, Husqvarna® K970 and Stihl® TS700.

The use of the EZ Kart is recommended for all GeoRipper® models and is supplied as standard with all GR27.

The EZ Kart is the same for all GeoRipper® models, just indicate your machine type for the correct throttle latch (Gold: Makita® EK6101 & EK8100, Silver: Makita® EK7650H, Orange: Husqvarna® or Red: Stihl®)
